The Winds of Serak is a feature of our website which is intended to explore relationships of other arts and their exponents to the system of Serak. The first article of The Winds of Serak (Parts I & II) is written by MaHa Guru Victor, in an attempt to establish some record of his direct exposure to the art he has devoted his life to.

The Winds... really has two meanings as the phrase is used here. First, it can refer to what Serak has touched, ie., influences on other arts and practitioners, etc.
The other meaning suggests that when someone claims Serak and knowledge of the art and its history, do they have the real thing or just the “winds” from the real thing? MaHa Guru believes that there is a big, big difference between the two!

For people who make claims about this art, we can only hope that 1) they were there and saw what they are talking about, or 2) they have authentic and credible documentation to support their claims. If either or both of these is missing, then we would wonder, “What motive does this person have for making this claim?”
